Gro Pro Experiment

Evening Surfriders ,I don't know about you other Go Pro owners , but I 've been wondering what kind of view I would get by turning the camera around .Sticking with CB surfrider protocol and that all research and development / testing should only be be done in the crappiest of surf, and that sure was easy today. I really didn't know what I would see with the camera having such a wide angle lens .The waves were really short and mushy , but I think it has potential . I like being able to see the other surfers and beach / background it gives the viewer perspective.Should get some cool shots in sunny overhead barrels , give it a try. Keep your fingers crossed for this weekend , and here comes the cold air. Zog

Eat This

Evening Surfriders ,
Click on the link below for some real no nonsense pits and punts from Cali Hellman Nathan Fletcher .I love Nathans hard charging style and he's not afraid to eat it chasing the glory. I love the first wave , where he gets axed in the head and takes triple flogging in the impact zone. Nathan comes from a long line of hard chargers , Walter was there in the beginning , and his brother Christian pretty much brought aerials to surfing. Anybody out there been surfing long enough to remember the Wave Warrior videos ? And you can also thank Herbie for your deck pad. Enjoy, Zog p.s. Use Scroll box at bottom of analog page and go to "Lavese Los Manos " http://analogclothing.com/videos/6001/19720/

Afternoon Delight

What's Up Surfriders ,
You can't tell it from my photographic efforts , but we had a super fun session this evening . Brad and I were the only ones out , and Rob paddled out late as we all had a blast. Beautiful lighting with a full moon tidal push , brought out the smiles .Tried to grab a few shots with the wrist cam , but I was having to much fun catching the peeling shorebreak.Check out Brad riding Mike Hynson Black Knight. Better look for your , boots , gloves and hood cause it was chilly. Maybe tomorrow ? Stay warm , Zog

Whoda Thunk Part Deux

Evening Surfriders,
Sitting here with my smoked shoulders , stoked on 6 plus hours of fun surf with offshore winds .Surfed for over an hour all by myself in sunny , peeling surf before anybody paddled out and crowd never developed only a few people out this afternoon , gotta love this time of year. Maybe tomorrow ? Say your prayers, Zog

Whoda Thunk

Yo Surfriders,
Just got in from super fun jetty sesh , thanks Swell Info for calling for small surf and keeping everyone in bed. Heavy high tide and offshore winds , with brisk temps made for a welcome to winter eye opener , but some great chest high w/ plus sets, and reeling walls made my day. Should be fun all day and maybe tomorrow. Zog

R.I.P. Andy Irons

Evening Surfriders ,
With a heavy heart I send my condolences to the family and friends of Andy Irons. AI passed away today trying to get home to Hawaii after pulling out of the Search in Puerto Rico. AI was one of my favorite surfers as he charged 12 foot surf like it was 2 foot. The world of surfing has lost one of it's greatest talents. say a prayer for Andy and his family. Zog
