RIP Joe Lewis, "The Force" Lives

My friend , instructor and mentor Joe Lewis died of brain cancer today.Joe was the most committed person I've ever met, he had profound effect on me.He started fighting at the age of 14 and was still training  and whipping peoples ass' until he was 68. He is" The Greatest Karate Fighter of All Time "as voted on by his peers. Run a google search on him and witness his greatness.I posted this video, because it's so funny, as was Joe( and holy crap , what a stud) . He was such a larger than life character.He has touched so many and the martial arts world is in shock . I'll post more on the legend later. Joe, I Miss and Love You , Andy

More Fun Surf

HUNTER, SECOND TIME ON SUP

Super fun surf this morning, Melissa, Hunter, and I surfed for a couple hours before anyone showed up. Mr. Meathead (me) forgot to charge the GoPro after the weekend, so it crapped out after a couple waves. Any Ho, 4 hour session , had a blast.The bummer summer of crowds and no surf is coming to an end, time the charge it!!!Zog   

 

Sunday Funday

Woke at 0500, so tired and sore it hurt to turn my head to look at the clock, sucked it up and and hit the road for Topsail. Melissa , Boogie Nights and I caught Surf City ? Topsail offshore , and super fun. Hope you caught some good surf this weekend.Zog
P.S. Dear Jettyholic , I'm sorry to hear about your "TWEAKED OVARY". The best Gyno I know of here in town is Dr. Peter Go Zinnia, he is at Hypochondriacs R Us , I hope he can " Straighten U Out"    

Hey Yall, Let's Watch Brad Surf

What  a day of surfing, SUP'd the inlet for 5.5 hours this morning while swell was filling in. I was the only one out for 3 hours before Brad showed up, we had blast . Dwight and Jacky showed up for a max crowd of 4! Here's couple of shots of Brad , I got before the battery died.PW fired tonite, boy did the swell fill in. Rode the green "Shove It" and had a blast.Melissa and I piled on another 2.5 hours. Gonna be sore, keep Charging , Zog

Insomnia

Gotta love it , gettin' fat, old, stressed from overtime, and good ole' insomnia. Haven't slept in a couple nights, up wandering around when one of my dead friends reminded me,that I'm one day closer to the box, and better go surfing. Low and behold in some fun little offshore lines.Hey there another insomniac, Hunter. Where is everybody ? Guess they're sleeping, oh well caught some fun ones with only one other person out. Pray for Surf, Zog

Got a couple super early before work.Waves were pretty crappy, but what a beautiful sunrise. Kinda sharkey and spookey early. I know what your thinking , oh great another weirdo like that jettyholic guy , out paddling around in the dark looking for hitchhikers. Least I keep my weirdness in the ocean.Zog
